Profile: Ranmaru is a very sensitive, compassionate person. He had a rough childhood, always being abused by his father. Growing up, his grandmother and mother was his heros. He strived in school to try to make them happy, while also keeping a secret from them. He'd started to cut his wrists when he was 8, but nobody ever saw because of his love for wrist bands. It got worse and deeper after he walked hom from school at 9, only to find his mother and grandmother killed. He wanted to hurt his father for doing it, only to find him dead as well; shot himself from guilt. Ran steadily got worse on his cutting, feeling responsible that he wasn't there to save them. The only person who knew of him doing it was his best friend, Maria. They had met in middle school, instantly becoming friends when they both found they were as messed up as the other. Maria is possibly the only person to keep Ran from killing himself. When they hit Junior High, his feelings took a dramatic turn. He started to love Maria. Even though Ran was older, he was only a grade higher. He kept it to himself, afraid that if he told, it would drive the other away.

Now 22, Ran's comepleted medical school, applying for the medical doctor opening at Shokubeni University. Maria currently lives with him in his apartment. He loves to listen to his Ipod everywhere, even having it on low when he's working.
